12/27/2010 - DUI Enforcement New Years Eve, Friday December 31, 2010
FORTUNA, CA – Fortuna Police Department will be conducting a Special DUI Enforcement Saturation Patrol on Friday, December 31st , 2010, starting at approximately 8:30 p.m. and ending after the New Years Eve celebrations in Fortuna.
Fortuna Police Department would like to remind those celebrating to be responsible and designate a sober driver. Officers will be looking for impaired drivers and if you are driving impaired you will be arrested.
As always with the holiday celebrations there will be an increased number of vehicles on the roadways. The Fortuna Police Department would like to remind citizens to drive safely and you’re encouraged to help keep roadways safe by calling 9-1-1 if you see a suspected impaired driver.
Funding for this operation is provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
