On the night of 7-01-2011, between the hours of 7:00 PM and 2:30 AM, deputies from the San Diego Sheriff’s Department Lemon Grove Station will be conducting a DUI sobriety and driver license checkpoint near the 6900 block of Broadway.
The checkpoint will be staffed by approximately 10 DUI trained sheriff deputies.
The purpose of the checkpoint is to remove impaired and/or unlicensed drivers from the roadway, thereby increasing the safety of all drivers and allowing for a safer driving environment.
The checkpoint is funded by a grant from the State Office of Traffic Safety.
