Wyoming Drunk Driving Facts
Like other states, Wyoming has a Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) limit of .08 percent for adults. This .08 limit is the standard measurement for the "Impaired" driver in the United States. The BAC level of an individual is determined by a chemical test of the blood, breath, urine or other bodily substances. The .08 limit is not always the only defining factor that a court of law uses during a drunk driving case.
If a driver has a BAC of less than .05 percent it is presumed that the driver was not driving under the influence of alcohol. If however the BAC of the driver is between .05 and .08 percent the court will use this score along with other evidence to determine if the person was capable of driving a motor vehicle safely.
